Government Board of Directors The Minnesota Companion Bird Association was founded in 1977. We are governed by a ten-member Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer (one-year terms), and six Directors (staggered two-year terms). Elections are held every November to determine the four executive positions and three of the six Directors. In addition, Committee Chairpersons are appointed by the Board to head our many specialized committees. The Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All members are welcome to attend Board meetings. Members are asked to reserve agenda time in advance if they would like to address the Board. Current Board of Directors

(Term Expires 12/08) Volunteer Opportunities The MCBA is run entirely by the volunteer efforts of our members. Since everyone has something special to offer the bird club, all members are encouraged to run for office or volunteer for committees and events. If you have some spare time and/or a special skill you'd like to share with your club, leave your name and phone number with a Board member at a meeting. Feedback All complaints regarding meetings, newsletter content, or decisions made by committees or the Board of Directors should be made in writing to a member of the Board. The Board is happy to take up any complaint when it is made in writing, but cannot formally review oral complaints. Home addresses are published in the MCBA Roster, or you can hand-deliver your letter to a Board member at a meeting. The Board also is more than happy to receive any praise you care to offer—in writing or otherwise!
